I am delighted to be showing my sculpture Dark Shadow Falling at Tremenheere Gallery, within the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. The exhibtion titled Wander_Land is a group show of members from the Royal Society of Sculptors.
Exploring human responses to the landscape, in particular the lushly planted and nurtured gardens of Tremenheere, the sculptures in this show will occupy both the gallery and the gardens.
My work records the durational aspect of landscape, how a fleeting moment of a day's noon can be captured and present an echo or memory of that event, explored though casting in concrete, the shadow of an ancient and now absent rock. The reference of time and transience within my work is apt in this beautifully rugged landscape which is significantly connected to the weather patterns of the year.
