Group Exhibition
Its a delight to be showing these works alongside fellow sculptors from the Royal Society of Sculptors.
The exhibition is titled Congregation and, for a brief moment, celebrates relationships between artists and the seasons, namely the Vernal Equinox.
These three drawings originate from shadows of stones found local to my Somerset studio. I set up a system of prescribed rules and let them run, not knowing how the final drawing will appear.
This sculpture is the noontide shadow cast of an ancient and now absent rock. Capturing the very a briefest moments in time, it records celestial time, geological time and human time.
