The UK’s largest exhibition of sculpture in stone, set within the exquisite garden and spectacular ballroom of Asthall Manor.  A group exhibition of 28 artists.  Simon will be showing four wall hung works.

The annual auction of artworks by named artists, with all proceeds going to the Oxford based charity The Art Room, will be held at the Halcyon Gallery, Mayfair, on 9th November.  This is the first time the auction has been held at the gallery and it the tenth Art Room auction.  This will be Simon’s third auction with the Art Room and he will be donating a painting titled Study of Two Faced.

To promote the communication among artists from all nations and to broaden the influence of China Changchun International Sculpture Conference in the world.  Looking at how ‘Sculpture can improve the public realm’, this conference has many exhibits and lecture events.  Simon will be presenting a lecture: ‘Does sculpture improve the public realm?’

4-6 September: Simon was then invited to Nanjing by Professor Wu Weishan and the city government, to advise on the sculpture planning for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, he also delivered another lecture at the University.

7 September: Simon was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the National Sculpture Academy in Beijing.

Hestercombe Gardens hosts a light and sound artistic extravaganza to mark the launch of the 2012 Cultural olympiad in Somerset.  Twelve national and international artists will present magical light and sound installations around the grounds and gardens of Hestercombe House.  Simon will be showing an experimental work which plays on our preconception of light and shadows.

Under a New Sun is part of Somerset Art Weeks 2011 and will showcase eight emerging and established artists living and working in Somerset.  The exhibition takes place in the Old School Room and the adjacent Lanes Hotel.  Simon will be showing a wall piece Limbo, alongside other new and experimental work relating to the themes of presence and absence.

Organised by Art Contact, this outdoor sculpture exhibition in the stunning gardens of the famous five star hotel will be showing five of Simon’s larger works, amongst work by twenty seven other sculptors.

Simon is exhibiting the sculpture Separate Reality in the foyer of this contemporary new building. The sculpture is the first in a half yearly loan program for the law firm.

A annual exhibition of sculpture features a sculpture trail, for which this popular annual show has become well known. Simon will be exhibiting a small jewel like resin sculpture inside the art centre.
