In my studio practice I continue to explore ways of manipulating materials in an attempt to create truly novel sculpture. Art which has never been seen before and yet moves us because of the physical and emotive balance between manipulated materials, and the thoughts they provoke. Stone is the creative backbone to my work and I frequently combine this traditional material with more contemporary and technically challenging materials. I make sculpture both for the private art markets and the public realm, exhibiting and selling my work nationally and internationally. On a larger scale I make public commissions, working alongside architects, borough councils, engineers etc. I make sculptures that acknowledge beauty, the natural world and our position within it, typically creating objects which exist in a balanced, self contained, harmony: work that explores contrasts of all kinds with an economy of means.
